A partnership was formed in 2007 between South Tyneside Road Safety, Tyne & Wear Fire & Rescue, and STADi. Many thanks to John Edwards, Road Traffic Network Manager, STMBC, Dave Elliott, Road Traffic Management, STMBC, Kim Quest-Law, Road Safety Co-ordinator, STMBC , and Malcom Branch, Tyne & Wear Fire & Rescue Service for there valued input in the previous STADi meeting.
From the previous meeting it was decided to liase between the above organisations on a regular basis to promote Road Safety.
If any of our members have suggestions to improve any road signs or marking, or how to improve congestion, then please raise the issue at the next STADi meeting and it will be passed onto the Council to address.
There have already been some improvements made to some of the road signs as a result of our partnership. (Notably the lanes signpost inbetween Testos and Mill Garage, Boldon.)
